Nick Wilson announced Performancing Metrics only yesterday and already we’ve had a few feedbacks asking to support it. It does look rather good, and the scripting required to enable it isn’t that hard to do.
One to keep an eye on methinks.
Much Later… but hey, why limit ourselves to one external stats service! This’ll take careful planning, check back in a few weeks!
A bit late to the game, but I’ve finally got around to trying out the new sidebar widgets that Andy has been working on.
I’m going to make serious use of the delicious widget to bookmark my favourite posts here on WordPress.com. The first being Toni’s account of what happened to him at SXSW.
Just thinking aloud, if we had a native bookmarks list, wouldn’t it be great if the Dashboard top blogs list could be influenced by how many bookmarks a post has? Eh Andy? 🙂
Matt and Andy spent the last few days working on a new site stats package for all users of WordPress.com! Just visit your dashboard and click on the “Blog Stats” link. Matt posted an announcement on the main blog which you may have missed. Take a look for more details!
No screenshots yet, you’ll have to go look yourself. It’s in active development so expect lots of updates! What would you like in your perfect stats package?
You can now post photos directly from Flickr thanks to code that Andy has worked on for a few days. It’s still a work in progress, and when you drag different size images it will display as a thumbnail. You may want to edit the html code too to fix the width and height. It is super though and will be very useful when posting sets of images from Flickr!
How does it work?
You’ll need to enter your flickr username into your profile and save that page first. Without that, WordPress doesn’t know who you are on flickr.com! Now go back to the “Write Post” screen and click “Browse Flickr”. If everything is set up ok, then your Flickr images will show up! If not, the error message “Failed to find Flickr ID for ”” will be printed so correct your Profile!
The site has been moved to a new datacenter and from our testing is holding up ok! If you spot any problems today please don’t hesitate to contact us through the Feedback form.
The site will run a whole lot better now as well!
